This past week our team was represented by Captain Regan Seymour as we were proud to make a donation to the Janeway Children’s Hospital with our Trainer Rebecca Gladney whom is also the author of the Children's book Chirps Large Day. 

We are proud to make such a donation in hopes to help the sick Childrens of our province and their stay at the Janeway a little more enjoyable. 

Thank you to Rebecca Gladney creating such an enjoyable book for kids and to the Janeway’s Therapeutic and Recreation Department for accepting our donation.

"I’m so proud to volunteer with a hockey team and organization that care so much – about the players, about the staff, and about the community. 

When I mentioned the donation package option to Chris, he *immediately* said he wanted to do it and send the books to the Janeway. No hesitation. 

So I was honoured to join our team captain Regan and make a donation of 20 books on behalf of The Big’s Avalon Capitals Junior Hockey Team to the Janeway Children’s Hospital. Big thanks to Kaitlyn and Heather from the therapeutic recreation department for meeting us to accept the books, and for making sure they get to kids who could use a little extra cheering up the most right now. ?"
